Altmaier “recruits” Delligs-based entrepreneur – Moritz von Soden appointed to the Minister of Economic Affairs’ Advisory Council on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
Delligsen. The IVA Alfeld Region Industrial Association has announced that Moritz von Soden, managing director of Bornemann Gewindetechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Delligsen, has been appointed to the SME Advisory Council of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, chaired by Minister Peter Altmaier. According to the IVA, Bornemann Gewindetechnik is a long-standing and committed member of the industry association. The appointment enables the regional business network to discuss with Moritz von Soden issues and positions that specifically concern the current situation and future prospects of small and medium-sized enterprises as well as the liberal professions.
It is of immense value to know that facts and positions are being represented in a direct and competent manner within this important body in Berlin. “We congratulate Mr. von Soden on his appointment to this distinguished group of individuals and wish him every success in his demanding and responsible work,” said the IVA Executive Board.
The Advisory Council for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises was established in 1956 under the chairmanship of Ludwig Erhard. Its purpose is to advise the Federal Minister of Economics on all matters relevant to small and medium-sized enterprises.
Bornemann Gewindetechnik is an owner-managed family business that manufactures all types of threads to the highest quality standards. Gerhard Dietrich laid the foundation for the company in Stroit in 1964; his son-in-law, Hans Gereke-Bornemann, joined the company in 1978 and worked with the founder to further expand its business areas. The production of threaded parts with a high degree of customization became the company’s core competency and its most important business segment. In 1984, management was handed over to the owners, Gudrun and Hans Gereke-Bornemann. They drove the company’s growth forward with great energy. In 1997, Bornemann Gewindetechnik moved from Stroit to the Klus industrial park in Delligsen, where a modern 3,800-square-meter production facility was built. By the late 1990s, 32 employees were working there.
Although the mechanical engineering industry ran into difficulties in 2009 due to the global economic crisis, the company managed to preserve every single job for its approximately 60 employees.
Just one year later, the company had turned the corner and resumed its growth trajectory.
In 2014, there was cause for celebration: Bornemann Gewindetechnik turned 50. At the end of the anniversary year, Moritz von Soden took over the management of the company together with his wife, Kathrin.
