ACME Screws and Leadscrews
We manufacture your ACME screw based on your individual design. ACME screws or Stub ACME threads are used to transform a rotational movement into a linear movement. ACME screws feature a flank angle of 29° and are mainly used in the US. The European couterpart is the trapezoidal thread according to DIN 103 with a similar flank angle of 30°. Both thread types are self-locking and therefore do not need to be secured separately in a resting position.
We manufacture:
- Single-start and multi-start ACME screws according to ANSI / ASME B1.5-1977
- Single-start and multi-start Stub ACME screws according to ANSI / ASME B1.8-1977
The stub ACME thread is an ACME thread with a shallow thread depth. Stub ACME is a common thread used in down hole oil field completion equipment or in threading inserts.
We are capable to manufacture any ACME thread or ACME leadscrew design according to your individual requirements or according to any international standard.
We can machine ACME screws of up to 7,500 mm in one piece or even longer leadscrews if we combine multiple screw elements. Applying this method we already manufactured leadscrews in excess of 20 meters in length.
