The “FC Bayern of threading technology” can look back on 50 successful years in business
Bornemann recently delivered the largest spindle the company has ever built to a plant manufacturer.
Delligsen (js) – As the saying goes, fortune favors the bold. That was certainly the case for Gerhard Dietrich, who laid the foundation for his life’s work in Stroit in 1964—even though he had neither a master craftsman’s certificate nor any money. Thanks to an exemption dating back to the period shortly after World War II, he was allowed to establish a craft business even without a master craftsman’s certification. The Sparkasse Einbeck was so convinced by the idea that it provided 10,000 DM so that Gerhard Dietrich could start his own business with a precision and turret lathe shop. Individuality instead of mass-produced goods remains the motto to this day: The company specializes in manufacturing complex threads, such as threads with special end finishes, multi-start threads, or workpieces made from exotic materials.
Sales Manager Sergii Goman: “There is hardly a thread we cannot manufacture. If our customers can draw it, we can build it.”
Bornemann has something that large corporations lack: strong family ties. Instead of having to bow to the demands of the capital market, the company has always been able to make independent decisions. In 1997, the company moved to Delligsen, to the Klus industrial park. Today, 65 employees work there. “It is only through our constant willingness to break new ground that Bornemann Gewindetechnik has become a world-class manufacturer of complex and large threaded parts. In these specialized fields, we are, so to speak, the FC Bayern of thread technology,” emphasizes Moritz von Soden, who will soon take over management together with his wife Kathrin.
