Application of reverse threads

Reverse threads can be used for winding of ropes in crane construction or for yarn bobbins.

Reverse threads are often used in the offshore industry. They are applied in winches as spooling devices or level winders for wire rope drums. Reverse threads compensate for excessive fleet angles between the cable drum and guide the cables over a roller box from flange to flange. Thereby the spooling devices then ensure the even spooling of heavy ropes on the rope drums. The harsh conditions in the offshore industry demand highest reliability and precision. Our reverse threads have to resist constanct contact with saltwater and are exposed to extreme climate conditions.
