Knuckle Threads or Round Threads

The knuckle thread (or “round” thread) profile prevents dirt buildup and mechanical damage. It is also much more resistant to wear and tear than other threads as there are no delicate edges. We manufacture single-start and multi-start ISO-sliding threads and knuckle threads according to the DIN 405, DIN 15403 and DIN 20400 standards (using metric and imperial measurement units), as well as knuckle threads in special sizes.

Round Threads

Knuckle threads are typically used as fastening threads in clutch and brake screws on trains and also in larger valves and gates. The form of these threads means the required maintenance in terms of cleaning and lubricating is quite minimal.
